Individual Counselling or Psychotherapy

Online or in-person, this is designated for individuals to process and explore their thoughts. Typically, sessions are booked on a fortnightly basis.

Family Consultancy & Family Reports

Family and child consultancy work fees are unique in the sense that every family situation is unique. Services may include Family Report Writing, Single Expert Witness services, and Child Consultant for a Child-Inclusive Mediation (CIM).The family consultant would need an overview of the case included an expectation of services to be provided. Therefore, fees are based on an estimated case conceptualization (case plan). Please contact us for a quote.

Rebates

To be eligible to receive psychological services under Medicare, a person must be referred by his or her GP and in some instances by another medical specialist. Speak to your GP about your eligibility to claim these Medicare benefits and the best person to make your referral. Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment by registered psychologists under the Australian Government's Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.

There are some practitioners at Best Life Therapy & Mediation who are not able to, or do not provide Medicare Rebates through a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Although Maria does not provide Medicare rebates, she is a recognised Allied Health Practitioner which enables her to provide rebates for people who have Private Health Insurance with extras cover.

Maria is currently a provider for Medibank Private, Bupa, AHM, Australian Regional Health Group - St Luke’s Health, Police Health, GMHBA Private Health, Westfund, Emergency Services Health, Phoenix Health ,CUA Health, AIA Health and Teachers Union Health. Therefore, clients who are members of these funds and have extras cover, may be eligible to claim a rebate. Please contact your Private Health Fund directly to determine eligibility.
